Hey all! Well summer has been and gone, and the weather is certainly changing, colder, wetter and darker..... We could sigh and cry, but no! We are Traceurs, we enjoy the challenges presented, so we wrap up, change our shoes and adapt to our given obstacle ahead of us. Do not let the weather or the difficulties presented limit your training, keep your movement effective and useful for yourself an others.
- If it's slippery, move a little slower.
- If it's cold, work a little harder.
There are no excuses in life, do what must be done.
Be strong, and aware, thigns are changing, things are always changing, take care while out.
Spread love and make a difference!

Update: 5th June 2009 - Summer!
Well summer is defiantly here, although questionable as today in Rochford and Southend, it's raining, irony right?
It's been great to see people out training, practicing and becoming interested in Parkour, through various means, including people seeing regular SP Traceurs practicing, through courses such as those at Southend's E15 acting school, Schools, TV, Online, and even through local workshops like Solerunner.
Either way, the community is still developing and growing, and it really is great to see.
Safety is an underlying thought through our practice and must be continually evaluated through our training and actions. Remember to stay hydrated and protected during the hot and sunny weather, and keep practicing and adapting your training to situations that may realistically arise, ie; wet and slippery.
On a community note, myself, Zak and Mark, completed an organized charity run for Fair Havens on the 30th of May, along the Thorpe Bay beach up to the historic Mulberry Harbour and back through Mud, People, Waist High Water and Hot conditions! We all completed the 2.5 miles in good timing and money went towards the hospice. For more info please visit Fair Havens.
We will be planning to doing more event like this, promoting the good nature of Parkour and it's practitioners, the health benefits of the practice and using our skills to help others. So keep posted on the forums and get involved!

SouthendParkour site and forums up and running!
Welcome to the SouthedParkour website.
This site is for Traceurs of the Southend On Sea and surrounding areas, to communicate and develop their understanding of the discipline of Parkour or L'art Du Deplacement.
The site and forum are all free and open to all, falling in line with the general beliefs of Parkour, along with being safe, and effective to use.
On the right hand side of the main site are links and pictures, but most importantly the link to the Southend Parkour Forum, where Traceurs, old and young, new and experienced can discuss Parkour and training methods in order to improve and grow within the discipline, mentally, physically and spiritually.
I hope you find the website useful in communicating with other Traceurs and I hope this will begin a rebirth of regular practitioners in the area.
See you out training soon! Get on the forum! Register here
